Hicks inks golf scholarship
East Coweta senior golfer Michael Hicks signed a National Letter of Intent on Friday to play his collegiate golf for Coach Mark Immelman at Columbus State University. Hicks, the 2004 Coweta County golf champion, narrowed his choices from several Division I programs and made CSU his top pick to play at the collegiate level beginning in the fall of 2007. Hicks who only recently started taking lessons from CSU head coach Mark Immelman, stated "Coach Immelman is a hands-on instructor and coach which is a rarity at the college level. What impresses me most about Coach Immelman is that he is an excellent teaching coach and a class act." Coach Mark Immelman, an internationally known teaching pro and brother of PGA player Trevor Immelman, has tremendous credentials and a great track record at CSU.
